Sell on eBay with i-Cellar!

Listing Choices:

  • Just Sell It -  “Just Sell It” focuses on getting it sold, there is NO UPFRONT COST and our starting bids are low - this gets bidders interested watching your items, and the bids rolling. Re-lists are percentage decrements, but often we don’t need to re-list at all. This program is what we recommend to most clients.
  • Name your Price - “Name your Price” is a price insurance: you set a reserve and there IS AN UPFRONT COST based on that number ($20.00 + 5% of the reserve).

What items do you sell?
We sell most items of a 'normal' shipping size as long as they are not prohibited by eBay. Items should be worth at least $100 in their current condition. This is the price range at which it becomes worthwhile to the seller to cover eBay fees and still get a high percentage. We will sell lower priced items ONLY if they are small and cost effective to ship.

Why should my item be worth at least $100?
First, eBay fees are much higher on low priced items. Second, virtually the same amount of effort goes into every item whether it sells for $100 or $500 dollars. Our structure is designed to give you a higher percentage the more an item sells for.

Can I sell items together as lots?
Yes, but it's rarely worth it. Lots always sell for much less on eBay, and take a greater amount of time to prepare and ship. Related items can be sold together as a lot. Items should be suitable to be shipped together, and will be photographed and listed together as one auction. The lot should have a combined value of at least $200. For example, three collectible figures with a similar theme or from the same manufacture. We will only LOT items that are not easily broken.

What items sell well on eBay?
There's only two ways items sell well on eBay:
  1. Identifiable Brand Name or Style
If your item is searchable with specific item titles that include manufacturers or styles, you'll get collectors, dealers, gift-givers, etc finding, watching, and bidding on it. This is absolutely the best way to get items sold on eBay. Titles like "Beautiful Antique Pottery Crock with Gorgeous Blue Designs" wont be found easily or bring the bids. "Antique American Grey Gray Stoneware Crock Blue Designs" will. They sound close don't they? The first will miss out on many possible bidders, the second will not only sell, but sell well.
  2. Appealing Photos when Browsing
People will browse categories as if they were looking through a shop. The photos are the factor that determines if they will click on your item, followed by the title. Visual presentation of that item is key to getting sales from window shoppers. If you would look through a catalog or brochure, you'd notice and buy the items that look the most appealing, the ones that were given respect and proper attention. If you have detailed, attractive photos in addition to a brand name, you are putting money in your pocket every time.

How can I get the most for my item?

  • Please clean your items before bringing them in so they look their best.
  • Provide us with as much information as possible about your item.
This helps us to further research your item and write the title and description in such a way as to maximize it's exposure to bidders. If you know the manufacturer of an unmarked item, or have the original papers from when you purchased it, please let us know and bring in anything of relevance.

Do you handle oversized items?
Yes, but fees and other specifics do vary accordingly. It depends on the item. so call us to discuss your specific case. Our standard percentages assume 1 item or small lot of items in a normal sized shipping box. A certain amount of "handling" fee is reasonable to be passed on to the buyers, but excessive time in packaging and shipping cannot.  If there are many items or the items are over-sized, we'll tell you up front if there is a surcharge. For particularly large items, we can offer local pickup. As a general rule, we won't ship anything beyond 45" long. Our "ideal" box sizes are 19" x 14" x 12, 30" x 12" x 12", or 16" x 16" x 16" so if it fits in those you're fine. Bring it in if you are unsure, we have many different box sizes.

When will I get paid?
Most eBay auctions will run for 7 days, although occasionally auctions will run for up to 10 days. We encourage bidders to pay for items promptly. Once their payment has cleared, we will ship their items using the method of buyers choice. After the return period has passed, we are then able to make payment to the seller of the item. Assuming the item is paid for promptly, and is not returned, then you should receive your check approx. 2-3 weeks after the end of the auction, but in certain cases my take longer (international shipping is slower, and if the buyer does not pay promptly the ebay dispute process can take about ten days or so).
